Did you know that about 70% of people have a phobic response to something, and that 33% have the problem so strongly that they seek help?

Phobias are many and varied, from the commonest versions like fear of public speaking and spiders, to more exotic variations like buttons, mushrooms and toothbrushes. Think of something and someone somewhere has a phobia about it; and the rule is, if it's someone else's it looks funny. Yours however doesn't feel like a joke at all, does it?

Why would a problem be so common? Because, believe it or not, it's your subconscious trying to help you. A phobia can be defined as a fear response that is out of proportion to the situation. Usually this is as a result of a scary experience when you're younger that the immature brain tries to learn from, usually by getting you to avoid anything similar in the future. So, when next you come into contact with a situation or object that's similar the brain registers it as a danger and fires the fight or flight response to protect you. Over time this response becomes habitual and it doesn't take long before you have a full-blown phobic response.

Phobias can have a huge impact on a person's quality of life. The good news is that, using Cognitive Hypnotherapy they can be helped quickly and simply. That's so important for you to know that I'm going to repeat it. I can help you quickly.
